When is Demon Slayer Season 2 Coming to Netflix?

Demon Slayer Season 2 Updates: After the announcement of the premiere of Demon Slayer season 2 in the summer of 2021, fans have been left without answers as to when it will release on Netflix. Disappointingly, the fans might have to wait till 2023 to watch the second season.

Demon Slayer is a Japanese Anime series known as Kimetsu no Yaiba which is based on the manga of the same name by author Koyoharu Gotōge. After the release of the Anime series, the popularity of the Demon Slayer abruptly increased. Within 5 years since its release in 2016, the franchise crossed $2.6 billion in Japan alone.

One might not be happy after listening to it but unfortunately, it will take a long time to come to Netflix. Season 2 of the actual anime series is scheduled to premiere Crunchyroll in the Summer of 2021.

So, if season 2 also broadcasts the same number of episodes which is 26, then the minimum time for ending season 2 will be in November 2021.

If we compare it to the first one, where the first season’s final episode was broadcast on the 28th of September in 2019 and was available on Netflix until 16 months later on the 22nd of January, 2021. If the second season also follows this pattern then it will likely be released on Netflix in the year 2023. Approx esteemed date is from March to May 2023.

What to expect in the Demon Slayer Season 2

The beginning of the second season doesn’t start exactly from where the first season left off. Season 2 starts after the end of the Mugen Train arc. The scene starts with Tnjiro and his friends going to Yoshiwara, which is an infamous and unethical red-light district in Edo.

From here demons, crime, and other unsavory acts are being run. The demon activity is suspected when a number of wives go missing in the area. There’s a personal connection between Tanjiro and a new friend to the mystery and goes to the bottom of the problem before anyone else disappears.

Some incredible records were broken by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibo the Movie: Mugen Train during its time in theatres, which include –

The highest-grossing film of all time in Japan
