WandaVision Episode 3 Has One Of Kevin Smith’s Favorite MCU Scenes

WandaVision Episode 3

WandaVision Episode 3 Updates: Episode 3 of WandaVision may have fallen just hours ago, but one of its key moments is already in Kevin Smith’s all-time top 10 MCU scenes.

Episode 3 of WandaVision, “Now In Colour,” has one of Kevin Smith’s favorite scenes in the history of Marvel. WandaVision is the first of a slew of episodic MCU material coming to the streaming service over the next few years, making its debut on Disney+ only last week, and the series celebrates the jump to television by parodying the past of American sitcoms.

Reactions from both critics and fans to the first two episodes were positive, ensuring a lot of people circled on their calendars on the next few Fridays.

Kevin Smith, the director whose debut film Clerks remains a milestone for independent filmmaking, is certainly one of those individuals. Smith has written stories for both Marvel and DC and also runs his own comic book shop, in addition to being a lifelong fan of comic books who integrates that fandom into his movies (also working within his own shared universe).

He is one of the most well-known voices in the Marvel fandom, supposedly inspiring Chris Hemsworth to shake up Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, and in Captain Marvel, he also exists inside the MCU as a reference to Mallrats.

Kevin Smith also shares his immediate reactions on Twitter to MCU content, and with WandaVision episode 3, which fell today on Disney+, the director seems very pleased.

Smith alludes to a specific scene with a screenshot of Wanda/Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen that he was especially fascinated by, cautious to prevent spoilers but obviously dying to discuss the episode.

In the history of Marvel Studios, he already ranks the scene among his 10 favorites and praises its art at every stage, singling out the performance of Olsen in it as worthy of the highest honor of TV.

WandaVision Episode 3 Viewers reaction:-

Viewers who have seen the new episode of WandaVision will instantly know which moment Smith is referring to, and it is definitely an emotional one.

She mournfully shares with Geraldine (played by Teyonah Parris) that she too is a twin and that her brother’s name was Pietro, after Wanda gave birth to twin sons, Billy and Tommy.

In Geraldine, who asks if he was killed by Ultron, mentioning the death of Pietro/Quicksilver in the climactic battle of Avengers: Age of Ultron back in 2015, this seems to trigger a memory.

Olsen and Parris subtly show a variety of feelings that convey a struggle between the two characters, the exact nature of which remains a mystery, as Wanda interrogates Geraldine, who attempts to slip back into her comfortable sitcom behavior.

The scene finishes with Geraldine, possibly by Wanda, being cast out of the force field protected town of Westview.
