Netflix launched #blackAF season 1, which includes eight episodes, in April 2020. Barris named himself opposite Rashida Jones as his wife Joya in #blackAF season 1.

A well-known L.A.-based visual artist appears to represent his painting at the Barris home in Episode 3. Angela Kinsey appeared as Leeza: She is well known best for portraying Angela Martin in The Office, Angela Kinsey portrays one of Kenya’s writers from episodes 4 to 6.

Jonathan Groff appeared as Jerome Sinfield:

An executive producer of Black-ish, he represents a TV writer from episodes 4 t0 6. Melvin Gregg appeared as Cousin Harold: Marcus Parrish from The Way Back comes to share his life story with Kenya in Episode 5.

Mike Epps appeared as Uncle Ray:

A well-known comedian, Mike Epps makes his cameo appearing at a family gathering and talks in movies in episode 5.

A Black-ish cast member, Nelson Franklin portrays one of Kenya’s writers from episodes 4 to 6. Kym Whitley appeared as Aunt Nadine: The famous character actress made her cameo by appearing at a Barris family cookout in episode 5.

The famous entertainment mogul makes his cameo and gives advice to Kenya in episode 5. Issa Rae appeared as Herself: The star of the series Insecure is part of Kenya’s “Black Illuminati” video call in the fifth episode.

Ava Duvernay appeared as Herself:

The filmmaker of “When They See Us” makes her cameo being a part of Kenya’s videocall in the fifth episode.

Will Packer appeared as Himself:

A successful producer of Girls Trip, he also made his cameo by appearing during the video call in the fifth episode.
