In this amazing Spider-Man: Into Spider-Verse 2 fan poster, Spider-Man 2099 formally joins the band. In 2018, with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony launched their first Marvel animated flick, a vibrant blast of comic book excellence that wowed fans and critics alike.
Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), a regular adolescent who is one day attacked by a poisonous spider and acquires new powers, was revealed to fans in the Spider-Verse.
Miles soon discovers he is not alone, thanks to some multiverse-mingling shenanigans when he meets a slew of other Spider-People from different realities.
All about Into the Spider-Verse 2: Spider-Man 2099
When it was released, Into the Spider-Verse was a major success, so it was not shocking to learn that Sony was going on with a sequel. Last year, Into the Spider-Verse 2 went into development and is expected to be launched in late 2022.
Details of the storyline are still being kept under wraps, but viewers hope to see a bunch of new Spider-Verse additions, such as Spider-Man and Silk from Japan.
In addition, the first film’s post-credits scene teased the appearance of Spider-Man 2099, aka Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac), leaving viewers to wonder whether he’s going to play a major role in the sequel.
Two designers worked on a new fan poster for Into the Spider-Verse 2, imaging Spider-Man 2099 teaming up with some new and old faces with the theme in mind.
This lovely poster featuring Miles and Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) was designed by NOVA and entomology as they join forces with others such as Spider-Man 2099 and Japanese Spider-Man. This is a lineup that we would love to see play out, needless to say.
At the beginning of this year, when two pictures of the futuristic hero were posted on social media with a countdown to the release of the film, Into the Spider-Verse 2 seemed to hint Spider-Man 2099’s appearance in the sequel. For Into the Spider-Verse 2, Spider-Man 2099 has not been formally reported, but Isaac’s casting makes one suspect Sony has further character plans.
Unfortunately, because Into the Spider-Verse 2 is still too far away, it is impossible to tell when more detailed details about the widely awaited sequel will finally be available.
However, to see Spider-Man 2099 team up with the likes of Miles and Gwen will be very interesting. The two young heroes could use a new coach, based on whether Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) will return, and Miguel will battle the bill perfectly.
There’s always plenty of time for Into the Spider-Verse 2 to think about what’s in store, and fans will certainly love coming up with their theories. Hopefully, the finished film would resemble anything similar to the above poster after it is said and completed.
