The movie got mixed reviews as it answered fewer questions but left unanswered ones more.

According to Clooney, during his interview on NPR, he said that the movie is more about meditation than being action-packed CGI infused spectacle.

He also said that the movie is all about us wanting to go back to our homes and loved ones, and a thread of loneliness and uncertainty surrounds the plot of the movie all through the 2-hour long odyssey.

The Midnight Sky: Update

The Midnight Sky

Though the film is an initiative to a new kind of Sci-Fi movie genre, it did disappoint the viewers about its many unaddressed aspects of the climate changes taking place? How the Earth became inhospitable to humans?

In spite Scientist, Augustine Lofthouse warning the spaceship “Aether- the last active space ship on a mission” not to land on earth as it faces tragic and mysterious apocalyptic events, but Sully and commander Adewole made their way back to the hospitable Jupiter k-23 which also was not cleared as such.

As Sully is pregnant with their child, it just makes it more pressing.

But hardly it is made clear how and what k-23 is more like?

Although at the beginning of the movie, the visualization of life on k-23 in Sully’s dreams is there still it is not clear to the viewers.

But the film drops few hints that due to the belt between Jupiter and Mars from which Aether will have to go through, can lead to anything unexpected as well as it takes 2 years for the expenditure to take place.

Also, the fate of other crew members of Aether remained unaddressed.

Sanchez and Mitchell who instead of going to K-23, decides to go back to Earth as Sanchez wants to bury one of the crew members Maya, who lost her life during a spacewalk and Mitchell wants to go check on the family.

Both have different and unknown destinations to navigate through.

Also, the movie didn’t explain much about the apocalyptic event that earth’s been going through.

As this suggests that, no movie can give answers to the fate of earth which is been going through all these changes but has to be developed by humans on their own.
