One Strange Rock Updates: Jane Root’s Nutopia has contracted Matt Edmonds, a past CEO of Sacha Baron Cohen production corporation Spelthorne Community TV, as it intensifies its move to expand its virtual reality program.
Nutopia, presently giving rise to its second season of One Strange Rock with Will Smith and Limitless, and Chris Hemsworth, also a Nat Geo, have also encouraged its two managers.
Edmonds, former Head of Factual Entertainment at the company, Who Is America? the star founded with Andrew Newman in 2015, joins the new role of Vice President of Unwritten Architecture.
He has worked on the Showtime series and articles such as Let Us About About Sex and previously worked on Rumpus Media, where he did shows like Asia and Netflix’s Asian Provocateur featuring Romesh Ranganathan and Comedy Central and Netflix for Joel and Nish vs World.
Edmonds has been tasked with increasing the company’s total volume with popular formats. Best known for making premium documents, the company’s latest orders include Babiesfor Netflix, Disney + World According to Jeff Goldblum, The Last Czars for Netflix, and One Strange Rockford National Geographic.
One Strange Rock Production and Team
The current Head of Development Simon Willgoss has been promoted to Chief Producer and Executive VP for Development. You will continue to oversee the company’s development information and be tasked with managing its relationships with companies such as Westbrook.

Joining Nutopia as a development researcher in 2015, Fernand has worked on topics such as Babies, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, and The ‘80s Greatest, and The‘ 90s Greatest for National Geographic. He was a producer in the documentary feature Detroit: Comeback City for History Channel and helped develop the upcoming series of National Geographic Limitless and One Strange Rock 2.
