Beauty and the Beast: live-action prequel officially coming on Disney+

Beauty and the Beast: Disney+ has confirmed that they are going to bring the live-action prequel to the streaming platform. In the live-action series, Josh Gad and Luke Evans will reunite for the roles of Lefou and Gaston from the 2017 live-action feature film adaptation of the Disney classic.

This was confirmed on Thursday during the meet with investors.  The new Prequel will revolve around the arrogant hunter and his lackey.

The news came out in March for the first time for the prequel when the series was in development.

The film has got its legacy from the animated film of 1991. and this time the show returning with the new six-part musical live-action from the composer Alan Menken where we will get to see Luke Evans and Josh Gad reprise their roles from Disney’s 2017 live-action big-screen adoption of Beauty and the Beast.

Gad has twitted shortly after the news has been announced and promised his fans and the audience for something new and fun is coming on their way.

Luke and I will perform the sizzle live for you all. Don’t worry. Right, @theRealLukvans? #BeautyAndTheBeastPrequeal,” he wrote on his Twitter.

The creator of the ABC’s Disney based fantasy drama Once Upon A Time, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz have been tapped to write the series, and they will also produce the show along with Gad and Evans.

Alan menke— the iconic composer is all set to return to write the new music and songs for the yet-untitled series, who has also composed music for Disney’s 1991 animated classic.

The show will reportedly expand the world of the film, which will give a look at the backstory behind two antagonists before the event of the movie to their fans, while the show will expand in Disney+.
