The upcoming movie ‘Damsel’ is a fantasy film that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directed. The plot surrounds a dutiful damsel named Princess Elodie. After she agrees to wed a handsome prince, she finds herself trapped and recruited as a sacrifice as a repayment of an ancient debt.
As she is thrown inside a cave in which a fire-breathing dragon resides, she becomes compelled to rely on her wits and willpower to survive.
British actress and producer Millie Bobby Brown has been cast as Princess Elodie in the upcoming movie.
Brown came to prominence for her portrayal of Eleven in the popular sci-fi series Netflix– ‘Stranger Things‘. She is also renowned for starring as Enola Holmes in the Enola Holmes film series.
Other cast members of the upcoming movie include Nick Robinson playing Prince Henry, Angela Bassett playing Elodie’s stepmother Lady Bayford, Robin Wright playing Queen Isabelle, Ray Winstone playing the King, Brooke Carter, Shohreh Aghdashloo, etc. The film is set to be released on October 13, 2023, on Netflix.
