The Good Doctor Season 4: Trailer Analysis & Every other detail

The Good Doctor Season 4 Updates: The Good Doctor’s just released a full-length Season 4 trailer that centers around something beyond the Covid pandemic.

The Good Doctor Season 4: Trailer Analysis

This trailer follows the previous teaser trailer where Dr. Shaun Murphy is seen head-to-toe in PPE. He’s prepared to work through the COVID-19 pandemic. The video also includes our first look at six new residents working to save lives amidst this ongoing pandemic.

One of them is Noah Galvin (The Real O’Neals) as Dr. Asher Wolke, a first-year who recently settled on the decision to become independent and detach himself from an Orthodox Jewish organization to go to med school.

At a certain point, Dr. Audrey Lim, the Chief of Surgery, and Dr. Marcus Andrews, the attending plastic surgeon, banter whether Dr. Shaun’s special range of abilities and complete dismissal for social skills make him an ideal administrator. We, at that point, watch as Shaun tries to become acquainted with his subordinates at a social affair of sorts. He quickly asks Dr. Wolke a not so appropriate question.

Aftermath of Dr. Neil’s death

The trailer also features a discussion among Lim and Claire. After the saddening demise of Dr. Neil Melendez, both of them are still in grief. Dr. Neil can also be found in flashbacks. Of the two, Claire gives off an impression of being taking it the hardest, revealing to Lim that her bond with the late surgeon has changed her forever.

Affect of COVID

Regardless of the debut’s attention on COVID-19, executive maker David Shore recently uncovered that Season 4 won’t incline toward the pandemic in ensuing episodes which resulted in the absence of PPEs in various scenes in the trailer.

He said that they still have to manage the ongoing pandemic. All the while also honoring the front line workers. He continued saying that the last six months were hard to deal with but they have an obligation, as performers, to give a bit of escapism amidst these tough times.

It was announced that the rest of the season won’t be about the coronavirus pandemic. There’s no running away from it, but they’ll still sue spreading awareness about the virus.

When it’ll come out

As we’ve said previously, The Good Doctor Season 4 debuts on Monday, Nov. 2 (ABC, 10/9c).
