The assumption of the series is this: ‘A nun sent to set up a branch of her order with her fellow sisters in the Himalayas struggles to temper her attractions to a World War I authority they meet.’

Black Narcissus season 1: Possible Plotline
The series is all set in Mopu, Himalayas, in 1934. A clifftop palace, which was known as the ‘House of Women’, becomes the site of a mission set up by the young nuns of St. Faith. Locations with many dark secrets, the mysteries of the House of Women awake forbidden desires which set the nuns on a way of terrible tragedies.
