Netflix’s SNEAKERHEADS Review: Quirky, Humorous and Obsessed

SNEAKERHEADS Review: A funny and delightful sitcom featuring sneakerheads, people who collect sneakers for their own obsession or to flip them to wealthy clients who are willing to pay more than their retail price. The plot revolves around Devin (Allen Maldonado), a former sneakerhead turned a stay-at-home dad of two kids, after marrying to Christine (Yaani King Mondschein), a paralegal close to getting her law license.

The story sees Devin falling back into his sneaker’s obsession after meeting his old friend Bobby (Andrew Bachelor) who persuades him to score a mythical pair of kicks by some crazy schemes.

The series SNEAKERHEADS Review sees emergence of a squad when Devin and Bobby linked up with a sneakerhead magnate Nori (Jearnest Corchado) and a newcomer Stuey (Mathew Josten) to track down a mythical pair of sneakers ‘THE ZEROS’

The trail to find this mythical pair of Airjordans includes a lot of adventures, from flying to Hongkong then crashing down the compound of Mark Wahlberg (Mark L. Walberg), and saving their lives from a Black Panther, the series is packed with a quick and witty humor.

Jay Longino’s new Netflix series, directed by Dave Meyers shows a great group dynamic with the hustle of finding that perfect pair of sneakers, to flip them over, and comedic element, making the viewers laugh as they go deep into the plot and leave with the thought that whether the squad will be able to find the zeros or not. The series is left with the question whether there will be a season 2 or not?

Overall, the Sneakerheads is a light and delightful quick series having a total of 6 episodes of some 20 minutes which can be considered a fun one-time watch.
