Robby and Tory are in a chaotic relationship, moving on from enemies to lovers. Tory Nichols & Robby Keene undergo significant growth and change throughout Cobra Kai Season 5. The couple will most likely face more severe karate hurdles in Season 6 and afterward, but they will face them together.

Tory Motivates Robby to Join Cobra Kai.
Tory Nicholes & Robby Keene were both brokenhearted, which may explain why they connected. Their love story begins when Robby gets out of juvie in Season 3 Episode 8, but he denies both Daniel & Johnny when they come to pick him up owing to his hatred for them.
With nowhere else to go, Robby unexpectedly ends his relationship with Samantha & heads to Cobra Kai, where Kreese agrees to accept him.
Robby is initially hesitant to join Cobra Kai because of Hawk’s anger towards him for what he had done to Miguel towards the end of the school brawl.
Still, Tory motivates him to stay with Cobra Kai, and the two soon become friends and find similarities in each other’s broken personal lives and their betrayals from Sam, Johny, and Miguel.

Tory tries to help him make connections and friends at the dojo, even asking him to go along on the Cobra Heist.
Following the LaRusso house fight in Season 3 Episode 10, Robby is not there when the other members of the Cobra Kai attack the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang. Tory sees this as a betrayal and no longer believes he is one of them.
Robby regains her respect and confidence in Season 4 Episode 1, by promising to leave the dojo if they get a hand on him; Tory is the only one able to do so. She lets him stay, & their tension grows during the session. They are both skilled fighters and are often astonished by each other’s fighting skills.
Junior Prom
They fight well together, even beating Miguel and Sam, who were fighting together. In Season 4 Episode 8, Tory and Robby went to the West Valley High junior prom, with Robby as her plus one. While their main goal is to get under their exes’ skins to play a mind game, they eventually enjoy a passionate and cheerful dance, which draws them closer together.
Their mutually awful pasts and damaged natures create an intimacy unmatched in previous relationships since neither must hide the darker facts of their life.
They understand each other’s problems, especially financial hardship, but they can still have fun together despite their difficulties. After the junior prom, Robby & Tory kiss for the first time.
The Last Kiss
Tory’s secret partnership with Kreese and her confession that Silver rigged the All Valley surprised and impressed Robby. He understands how difficult it is for Tory to let go of the Cobra Kai attitude and tell Sam the truth. Finally in the Season 5 Episode 10, He expresses love for her severely damaged hand while she appreciates it. She states she’s OK for now.
Eagle Fang & Miyagi-Do unite with Tory to defeat Silver, sparking an intense battle amongst the dojos inside the main Cobra Kai dojo. Robby & Tory fight together and separately.
Following the fight, both check on one other and discuss the situation. She doesn’t want the emotional heart-to-heart stuff, so she asks him to kiss her. He smiled, and they kissed.
