True Detective Season 4 Max Release Date, Cast, Plot, and More!

Back at it as a brand new chapter in the crime drama, True Detective Season 4 is all set to hit screens as it is officially titled ‘True Detective: Night Country’ – of course everything is brand new, ranging from the cast to the showrunners although one thing certainly remains old – the haunting mysteries for the characters that ensue chaos and drama.

The debut season starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in 2014 which became an instant hit (I mean, who can resist Matthew’s charm?).

The second season followed near Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn, Taylor Kitsch, and Kelly Reilly in 2105 and the third season, unfortunately, didn’t arrive anytime soon after – but after a good four-year gap in 2019 but by then it was taken over by new writers and cast Mahershala Ali, Carmen Ejogo, Stephen Dorff, Scoot McNairy, Ray Fisher, and Mamie Gummer as the main stars.

You see, True Detectives has always had a knack for bagging big names to headline every season and of course, the fourth season is no exception – given Jodie Foster is one of the leading cast members.

As you would know, Foster is a megastar in Hollywood given her experience since childhood in movies like The Silence of the Lambs, Taxi Driver, Inside Man, and Nyad.

In True Detectives Season 4, Foster plays the role of Liz Danvers, a main detective in the case of the eight missing men.

Kali Reis, a professional boxer and Indigenous rights advocate who made her first acting debut in ‘Catch the Fair One (2021) plays the role of Evangeline Navarro. Her acting skills and Indigenous rights movement work has certainly made her stand out in the crowd which caught the attention of the True Detective Team.

We’re not sharing details of the other cast members – because you will have to see it for yourself when it releases on January 14th at 9 PM on Max and HBO. Till then, keep your fingers crossed!
