As no Netflix occasion is complete without K-dramas, the streaming service used the enthusiasm established during Geeked Week to tease Gyeongseong Creature.
The South Korean series is set in the 1950s and follows a group of ruthless people who resolve to battle head-to-head with monstrous beings who appear to result from human greed.

Park Seo-jun Turns Up the Heat in the First ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ Trailer.
Netflix recently released the first teaser for Gyeongseong Creature. The teaser teases the captivating narrative and violent action set in 1945, during Japan’s colonial reign in South Korea. It depicts an intense scenario with humans and beasts in a Gyeongseong hospital.
Tae-sang is recognized as the Bukchon district’s wealthiest and most attractive guy and the most trustworthy source of insider information. However, as he becomes connected with Chae-ok, he reconsiders his priorities and ideals.
Meanwhile, Chae-ok is renowned in the neighborhood as a todugun (a bounty hunter and detective who locates the missing). As a child, she had to travel between Manchuria and Shanghai with her father.
Chae-ok’s mother went missing at some time during her childhood and has remained so until the end of the series. Chae-ok had to learn survival skills, such as using guns, knives, and other weapons, to find her mother.
Both of them find themselves in dangerous settings, implying fascinating action. Furthermore, the show’s poster heightens the fear. The first images from the upcoming horror thriller Gyeongseong Creature led to excitement by revealing the series’ aesthetics.
The photos included clothes and scene design from 1940s South Korea. Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee stare at each other anxiously in the first still, and one can only guess what chaos is going on outside with the unknown creature lurking.
Another image revealed Park Seo Joon was found unconscious in a locked room. Han So Hee is seen heading to Gyeongseong, the colonial name for Seoul, in search of her mother. The dark, pressured surroundings and creepy color scheme emphasize the ominous tone.
