Loretta Durkin teams up with Mabel, Charles, and Oliver to talk about some fresh clues in the Ben Glenroy murder case.

They have a suspect that Donna DeMeo, the person who produced Oliver’s play, might be the one who killed Ben. They believe she poisoned Ben on opening night to save her son’s Broadway career.

Even though there’s no solid proof connecting Donna to the crime scene, Loretta surprises everyone by showing a handkerchief that belonged to Ben.

It has Donna’s lipstick mark on it, and she got it from Dickie. Loretta’s got a plan to reveal Dickie’s real parentage to him after the play. Loretta plans to tell Dickie about his true parentage after the play.

The trio plans to force a confession from Donna on opening night at the Gooseberry Theater, where they confront her.

Donna shocks everyone by admitting that she poisoned Ben. But then, Mabel presents the handkerchief as evidence, and Donna’s confession doesn’t stop there. She also admits to pushing Ben down the elevator shaft. Donna begs to watch her son’s play before turning herself in.
