The clip, which was released on Netflix’s official YouTube channel, has Emily Rudd (Nami), Mackenyu (Zoro), Inaki Godoy (Luffy),  Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) discussing their respective characters and what part they play in Eiichiro Oda’s renowned story. Showrunner Matt Owens also discusses how the show is meant for existing and new audiences.

For now, Netflix has ordered the production of one season of ten episodes for the live adaptation, with showrunners Steven Maeda (C.S.I.: Miami, Lost) and Matt Owens ( Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

The initial season of One Piece’s live version will cover the anime and manga’s East Blue arc. With the series nearing completion, let’s look at what we know about Netflix’s One Piece live-action version.

One Piece is an unforgettable high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a youthful adventurer who has sought freedom since childhood.

Luffy sets out on a daring journey from his small village to find the legendary treasure, One Piece, in hopes of becoming the Pirate King.

But, to find the ultimate treasure, Luffy must first collect the crew he’s always desired before setting sail, combing every inch of the great blue oceans, outperforming the Marines, and beating dangerous rivals at every step.

Netflix has been teasing new One Piece details for months in preparation for the show’s forthcoming premiere. The streaming service has announced the primary theme song for One Piece, “Wealth Fame Power!”

This song, written by Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli, looks at the similarities between Luffy and Gol. D. Roger, the famed pirate captain who starts the hunt for One Piece.

Roger’s live-action counterpart was revealed in the first official teaser for One Piece, which debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

We also got a sneak peek from Netflix’s 2022 Geeked Week. The video showcases the set and concept art, as well as some further information from actor Iaki Godoy (Who Killed Sara? ), who will play Luffy, and creators of shows Steven Maeda & Matt Owens. In the video, Godoy, Maeda, and Owens are shown standing on a set that resembles The Straw Hats’ first ship, The Going Merry.

The concept art for Miss Love Duck (Alvida’s ship), The Going Merry, and Baratie (Sanji’s alma mater) is also shown. We also witness a time-lapse clip of Baratie being built, and the set’s attention to detail is astounding.
