Even though the autumn season is rapidly coming, Netflix’s big hit Aussie series Surviving Summer has us all yearning for its return.
With its compelling narrative, interesting characters, and surprising turns, the first season of this riveting program kept us on the edge of our seats. And now we’re waiting for word on the eagerly awaited Season 2.

Netflix has not only announced the release date but has also released the official trailer for the much-awaited season 2. We get a glimpse of what to expect and where our favorites will be when the latest episodes arrive on our watch list in September in the advanced peek at the new season.
We’ll be accompanying Summer Torres (Sky Katz) on her return to Shorehaven in this much-anticipated second season, where she’s eager to amaze her Aussie buddies with her incredible surfing talents.
But our surfer-obsessed protagonist’s life will not be easy. She’ll have to deal with rollercoaster relationships, a mystery new coach, and a ferocious rival surfer out to get her.
One thing is sure: with Sian Davies & Christian Van Vuuren at the helm for Season 2 of Surviving Summer, we’re in for another crazy trip.

A new interest has emerged: returning to Shorehaven and becoming a professional surfer like her Aussie friends. Summer’s mother, Margot, eventually agrees to another journey to Australia, but this time to keep a watch on her unpredictable daughter.
Poppy, Bodhi, and Marlon are overjoyed to see Summer return, but Ari’s sentiments are more conflicted.
Nobody believes Summer when she says she wants to be on the State Team and participate at Nationals like them. When Summer storms a final amid the tryouts and rips, their mouths drop again.
She’s more than competent; she’s a contender. The problem is, when Summer magically makes the squad, she also becomes the team captain’s deadliest adversary – Ari’s new girlfriend, Wren.”

The Cast and Characters of Surviving Summer Season 2.
Sky Katz as Summer, Kai Lewins as Ari Gibson, Savannah La Rain as Bodhi Mercer, Joao Gabriel Marinho as Marlon Sousa, and the one and only undefeated Open Women’s Queensland Surf Champion, Lilliana ‘Lil’ Bowrey as Poppy Tetanus are all back in action.
But that isn’t all. We’re also excited to announce the arrival of new cast members. Annabel Wolfe plays Wren, Olympia Valance plays Elo, and Josh MacQueen plays Baxter.
We’re excited to see how these new characters shake things up and contribute to the outstanding cast.
On September 15th, 2023, all new episodes will be released simultaneously on Netflix.

Filming sites for Surviving Summer Season 2
Surviving Summer Season 2 has finally concluded production, with the surf up and the cameras now running!
According to reports, filming began in February 2023 at the picturesque Great Ocean Road at Wadawurrung Country in Victoria, and fans can’t wait to see what type of waves our daring surfers will capture this time.
