The Tailor Season 2 starts after the previous season’s cliffhanger, with Peyami shot in the middle of a love triangle that includes his psychotic best pal Dimitri and Dimitri’s fleeing fiance, Esvet.
The rivalries between Peyami with Dimitri continue throughout the season, as does the turbulent romance between Peyami and Esvet, and Peyami’s research into his ancestry, particularly the identity of his mother.
In the season finale, all of these various narrative lines come together.
The Tailor Season 2: Who exactly is Kumru?
Kumru is a new character in this season of The Tailor. She starts as an office cleaner, but she also visits Peyami in the hospital as a nurse after he is shot in the first season conclusion.
Kumru and Peyami’s connection is also crucial to the season’s theme of healing. She helps him overcome his numerous health concerns caused by his experiences and current worries, such as continually shaking hands & panic attacks.
Kumru, on the other hand, has a hidden identity. She is Kiraz, Peyami’s mother, and as she begins her recovery journey, she accepts that she can no longer run away from her kid and obligations.

Was Dimitri abused?
Later in Season 2, it is revealed that Dimitri was exposed to torture and similar disciplinary methods as he did on Esvet at the start of The Tailor.
To his face, his father Ari has always been upfront and fearless, but others often felt nervous, afraid, and simply terrified in Dimitri’s company. This makes a lot of sense when it’s revealed that Ari has always had his hand on the leash in their interaction.
Dimitri’s past is explored, as are Ari’s cruel and problematic lessons, in which he teaches his terrified child that sobbing is for those searching for sympathy, but true strength lies in making others sad.
Ari would confine Dimitri within the same box the son later would use to imprison Esvet to reinforce his thoughts and lessons.
After an argument with Peyami in which the latter bares all about Ari’s abuse, the insane brat burns the box, eliminating the artifact that has signified and served as a trauma for him and others.

Kiraz left Peyami, but why?
We got indications of what happened to Kiraz in the first season. She got bought by Peyami’s family as a broodmare, and when it appeared that she wouldn’t be able to give a child to Mustafa, she set out.
Kiraz deeply cared about Mustafa, but the decision was made for her. After leaving, she realized she was pregnant with Peyami, but despite her efforts to conceal his presence, he was finally taken away by Sulun.
Kiraz did not decide to abandon her family. The choice had already been made for her. On the other hand, confronting her history and the family she was forced to leave behind is extremely tough for her.
Peyami’s collection ends with Kiraz reuniting with Mustafa, thanks to the efforts of Esvet and Osman.
