The plot focuses on the notorious Oklahoma murders that took place in the Osage Nation in the 1920s following the discovery of oil on tribal land.

The films serve as respectively the seventh and eleventh collaboration between Scorsese and cast member DiCaprio and Scorsese and other cast member De Niro respectively.

Killers of the Flower Moon was released at Cannes Film Festival on May 20, 2023, and is set to be released in the United States on 6th October this year.
