Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One had its Middle Eastern debut in Abu Dhabi, and Tom Cruise was there to attend the red carpet premiere.
Etihad Airways of Abu Dhabi invited Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise to reveal a unique Mission: Impossible livery on one of the Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Before the celebration, the celebrity landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Etihad Airways is the official airline of the much anticipated Mission: Impossible film series. On June 26, the movie will have its Middle Eastern debut at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental.
Cruise, sporting a fitted tuxedo and flashing his trademark grin, was affected by the jubilant greeting and stopped to chat with several guests. The “Mission: Impossible” theme, whose recognizable chords added a layer of cinematic nostalgia to the night, interrupted the event’s energy.

After arriving at the brand-new Midfield Terminal of Abu Dhabi International Airport, actor and producer Tom Cruise visited Louvre Abu Dhabi to meet the staff and tour the renowned museum.
This $3.5 billion blockbuster franchise’s eighth entry is known for its nonstop action and daring exploits by the 60-year-old Cruise himself.
Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Hayley Atwell returned to Midfield Terminal, one of the movie’s essential locations, and director Christopher McQuarrie to observe firsthand how the terminal’s construction has progressed since they filmed there.
With assistance from the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, a division of the Creative Media Authority, the production team also filmed outside the Midfield Terminal and on the roof of the 742,000-square-meter structure, which boasts the 180-meter-long single-standing arch.
Many people commended Cruise for bringing Hollywood back to life after a pandemic-induced decline in the sector.
This honor followed the release of Cruise’s blockbuster movie, “Top Gun: Maverick,” which not only represented the actor’s first $100 million opening but also signaled the return of blockbuster films to theaters as the most critical cinematic premiere since the start of the epidemic.
Midfield Terminal gets its prominent role in the next Mission: Impossible episode, Dead Reckoning Part One. One of the film’s most exciting action sequences shows the famous terminal building by international architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates.
The 315-meter-high terminal building was adorned to reflect its role in the film. In the movie, the public will see the interior of the terminal building for the first time.
In addition to the terminal, the film includes sequences staged in the breathtaking Liwa Desert and on purpose-built sets inside the airport, such as an Etihad First Class Lounge.
