They flee barely in time, and Yennefer realizes that her abilities are back. In an unexpected twist, we learn that Emperor Emhyr of the Nilfgaarddian troops is Ciri’s father.

The Witcher Season 3 will delve further into the “found family” relationship between Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, focusing on the trio residing in a lakeside home wherein Geralt and Yennefer will prepare Ciri.

Their home life, however, is going to be disrupted when Geralt goes for the fire wizard Rience. In the meantime, Yennefer will transport Ciri to Aretuza, where a huge fight is going to take place, uniting all of the important characters.

The main adversary will be Vilgefortz, who is going to become a key villain in the story as it progresses.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the show’s creator, has indicated that Season 3 will be more faithful to the novels than prior seasons, adapting Sapkowski’s Time of Contempt.
