Bird Box Barcelona Trailer Shows Another Evil Survival Quest!

This Barcelona-set thriller is the first in a series of films expected to expand the world of Bird Box.

Bird Box Barcelona is a suspenseful post-apocalyptic horror-thriller film that will premiere on Netflix on July 14, 2023. The film is a sequel to Sandra Bullock‘s 2018 thriller Bird Box.

The upcoming movie will be an extension of the original one rather than a direct follow-up. The events in the next film will take place in a parallel chronology to those in Bird Box.

But unlike its predecessor, which takes place five years after the creatures first appear, Bird Box Barcelona seems to fall apart from the day they arrive on Earth.

Bird Box Barcelona Official Teaser

The recently released trailer of the upcoming Netflix movie offers the audience a sneak peek into what to expect from the film. Based on what we can see, fans can expect an exciting and suspenseful experience.

The Bird Box Barcelona trailer has much of what we may expect from the sequel. People are rushing about in a panic before we home down on a few critical people attempting to survive. The strange powers of these mysterious beings are also shifting, which makes sense in this world.

In “Bird Box,” you’ll notice a nod to the original, with multiple shots of a woman banging her head against a glass window while Mallory is in the hospital.

The new trailer shows Spain’s streets filled with fleeing citizens as newscasters worldwide report unexplained events in multiple languages. As Sebastian rushes from his office building to his car, a shocking event makes him realize the worst is yet to come.

Sebastián and Anna, a father-daughter combination, will be shown in the new film trying their utmost not to open their eyes. They will try to keep their eyes hidden from daylight to avoid the solid and dangerous thing preying on those with bare eyes in post-apocalyptic Spain.

Maybe we finally have an answer to Birdbox’s terrifying monsters. Was Barcelona the first place they invaded? If so, where did they come from? The trailer doesn’t reveal much about the main characters’ plot, but it gives us a glimpse of the supernatural powers that affect Spain’s cities.

The father-daughter duo will also be seen blindfolded with a bunch of strangers. However, this could end in a growing danger, jeopardizing their safety and survival prospects even more.
