It opens with a prologue that features the event from Koyomi Vamp. Koyomi is a lonely boy who has a secret related to the supernatural which leaves him with a different story. With the help of a homeless man, he was able to make new friends and meet some spiritual characters.

The story of the anime series is related to Hyakkimaru and a young child named Dororo. They came together and met or faced some of the demons in Japan. These demons have stolen various parts of the protagonist.

Coming to Hyakkimaru then he fell in love with a young singer whose name is Mio and she is the one who was selling her body to soldiers. At first, Hyakkimaru thought of her as an enemy but later on, everything came clear.

He was killed in that world by Emilia so that she can become the next ruler of the kingdom in which she lives. After the death of Subaru, he realizes that he can turn back to life after death and starts helping Emilia.
