What is going to be the story of The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House?
The entire story of the series will be set in in Gion, Kyoto. Kiyo Nozuki played by Nana Mori and one of her childhood friend Sumire Herai played by Natsuki Deguchi together moved to Kyoto from Aomori to become maiko which basically means an apprentice geisha.
Kiyo Nozuki has yet to become a maiko due to her lack of personality traits required, also she moves at her own pace and there is lack of talent. On the other hand Sumire Herai became a maiko and works under the name of Momohan.
