A motley crew of resistance fighters gets together to rob the fascist headquarters in Milan of Mussolini’s loot during the closing stages of World War II. They want to reclaim all the mythical wealth that belonged to Benito Mussolini, the so-called “Duce of Fascism.” Pietro Castellitto, Matilda De Angelis, Filippo Timi, Tommaso Ragno, Luigi Fedele, Eugenio di Fraia, and Isabella Ferrari are among the actors who appear in the movie.
Produced by Angelo Barbagallo, this is directed by Renato de Maria. The plot centers on a Milanese businessman who joins up with a group of outcasts during World War II in order to pull off a sophisticated robbery of the famous riches that belonged to Benito Mussolini, the Duce of Fascism.
1945 April, Milan. The city is in ruins, and the Second World War is all but done. Isola is ruling the underground market in the middle of the commotion. He has a singer-girlfriend named Yvonne who is the target of a cunning fascist politician named Borsalino.
Isola and his team are informed one day that Mussolini had concealed his wealth, which is worth an undetermined amount, right here in Milan before his journey to Switzerland. They make the foolish decision to rob the Duce.
The narrative has some elements of fact. Mussolini’s wealth was indeed real, however, no one is certain of its current whereabouts. Inspired by characters who truly lived, we made up a story about a gang of criminals that committed theft while mostly thinking about how to survive.

Making this movie truly pushed me to the test and demanded that I step outside of my comfort zone. Did I have fun creating it? Enormously. Was it exhausting? Terribly. Was it worthwhile? I sincerely hope it is.
