The company WM Entertainment has given an official statement regarding the allegations. The statement given by the company is given below:

“Hello, this is WH Entertainment. We are making a statement on Lee Chae Yeon’s debut solo album because we find the design similarities between Lee Chae Yeon’s first mini album “HUSH RUSH” and another artist’s album to be extremely sad and disturbing.

Our artist Lee Chae Yeon’s first mini album, “HUSH RUSH,” connects the anxiety and exhilaration of a vampire making her public debut to Lee Chae Yeon’s debut as a solo artist, and we used this concept to construct not only her album concept but also her music video shoot.

Additionally, we imagined the album packaging as something a “Generation MZ vampire” would carry around, so we created two distinct versions of the album packaging: Vampire and Influencer.

According to the idea, the packaging for the “Vampire version” contains items that a vampire might carry, like oversized sunglasses, a blood pouch, and eyeballs, while the packaging for the “Influencer version” contains objects with a vampire-repellent theme, like a cross, garlic, a cell phone, and things for decorating.

In this way, we created the concept of a “Generation MZ vampire” by fusing the notion of “a vampire who awakens in a remote castle after 300 years and makes an outing into the world” with the significance of “Lee Chae Yeon’s solo debut.”

Regarding the key colors of the album art, we selected shades that are frequently used in horror- or Halloween-themed designs. The elements we gathered as objects to express the concept of a vampire are the images used in the album, such as eyeballs and lightning.

We used purchased typefaces for the design that were created by Sandoll, Inc. that were influenced by the horror genre and complemented the entire mood of the album.

The Influencer version of the album features a heart-shaped CD cover that symbolizes a vampire’s heart beating once more after waking up and her heart pounding when she comes into contact with the outside world.

The external design firm that created this album bought the image directly from a paid image website. We also added the barbed wire detailing on the heart because we believed it would convey the particular cold and spooky aura of a vampire.

As a result, Lee Chae Yeon’s debut mini album, “HUSH RUSH,” is an album with a distinct narrative and a distinct picture.

We apologize for worrying the fans who have been anticipating Lee Chae Yeon’s debut for a while. We kindly ask that you welcome Lee Chae Yeon’s fresh start and your curiosity in her first mini album, “HUSH RUSH,” as it is one that she has worked hard to create. Thank you.”
