Have you heard of Wonder Man, if you do not read Marvel Comics then the answer is no. Since the events of Avengers: Endgame, in which three of its main members either passed away or retired, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have all had the same question: where even are the Avengers?
Kevin Feige, the head of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been very silent about when we’ll see the next cast or who’s under consideration, but one member of the comic book team will soon be making his way to live-action.
Simon Williams, an ionic-powered superhero, stars in the Disney+ series Wonder Man, which is currently in production.
One of Marvel’s most intriguing characters, Wonder Man is mostly unknown to people who don’t read comic books; he has a complicated past even by the standards of superheroes.
The storylines that may be told with Wonder Man are incredibly diverse, but the recent announcement that Ben Kingsley will be returning as Trevor Slattery gives us a pretty decent indication of the kind of show Wonder Man is trying to be.
Let us now see whatever we know about the upcoming Marvel’s Wonder Man and who will play the lead.

Who Is Marvel’s Wonder Man?
Many iconic characters have humble beginnings, but it’s difficult to imagine how Wonder Man was ever saved from his debut in 1964, written by Stan Lee and illustrated by Don Heck. In addition to starting off as a villain, Wonder Man had the most absurd ambitions imaginable.
Did Wonder Man serve as a rival to Wonder Woman? Maybe. The two major publishing houses in the world of comic books frequently competed for similar characters—a rivalry that may occasionally border on comedy.
Nevertheless, Wonder Man is a completely distinct character from DC’s Princess Diana, so we shouldn’t be confused about him. The character first appeared in the 1960s and was a villain in that creation.
Since Simon Williams was also the son of a successful businessman who took over the company just to watch Stark Industries destroy that item into dust, he was designed as Tony Stark’s Iron Man’s opponent. He eventually enters prison but is encouraged by Baron Zemo to join the Avengers.
Williams is transformed into Wonder Man at this point, gaining the abilities that cause him to pulse with ionic energy and all of its associated characteristics (speed, strength, etc.). He appears to be your typical comic book figure from that perspective.
The character does, however, change, and when he is killed, revived, and makes a promise to use his powers for good, he ultimately joins the good side.
He does, however, join the Avengers since his alter persona is also engaged to perform some stunt work in film films and does your standard hero stuff. His story did cross over with some other important comic book arcs, including Secret Invasion and even Civil War, though it’s unknown whether the MCU adaptation will be involved in the former storyline.
Who Is Leading The Series?
Although the primary actors for the Wonder Man series are not yet known, we do know the implications of the story and the direction. There is a single person in control of the direction in addition to a head writer, following the style that Disney and Marvel like to use for their television programs.
Executive producer Daniel Cretton already has one Marvel credit under his belt and will soon add a second. There are some similarities with Kingsley there as he directed the aforementioned Shang Chi.
The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be directed by Crestin as well. That will come before The Avengers: Secret Wars as the sixth and final film in the Marvel Phase.
Will Ben Kingsley Reprise Trevor Slattery’s Role in Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man
In the next Wonder Man series from Marvel Studios at Disney+, Ben Kingsley is set to play Trevor Slattery again. Even though it’s unknown how Kingsley would fit into the plot of the show or how many episodes he would appear in, sources suggest he would have a big influence.
Kingsley made his acting debut as Slattery in “Iron Man 3.” In that film, Slattery plays The Mandarin, a terrorist leader; nevertheless, his true identity gets finally discovered, and he gets arrested.
Later, he was featured in the short movie “All Hail the King,” which shows Slattery in jail before being released by a spy with ties to the Mandarin. Kingsley portrays Slattery in the most recent movie version of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”
