Prey new film on Hulu coming this August

Another addition to the predator genre, only if you can call it, is down-to-roll on Hulu with the title Prey. Set in 300 years ago Prey is a prequel to the Predator series that started in 1987. What the Predator series is about?

Predator is a science fiction, action thriller film franchise consisting rift between humans & scientifically mutated monsters.

The first film came out in 1987 while the latest one in 2018, which has been critically taken down with reviews like “splinters apart in the haphazard and shoddy-looking last half-hour, largely derailing what began as a promising entry in the wildly inconsistent franchise.”.

Though the film is coming after the flop reboot of the franchise it’s not at all connected to the last one, instead, it’s a prequel or you can say spin-off for the franchise. It’s set 300 years before the timeline of the first film.

The film will follow the story of a warrior Naru, played by Amber Midthunder who wants to prove herself as a warrior & “certainly gets her chance when she comes face to face with the most dangerous hunter of all, the other-worldly predator.”

Being in work for several years the director of the film himself tweeted

“This was meant to be a surprise, been working on this for almost 4 years now. I am very sad that what we had in store for how you could discover this movie will no longer happen. It’s a bummer. But also…YAY!”

The film will debut on Hulu on August 3rd, 2022 while its theatrical release seems to have disillusioned.
