The Adam Project-
Shawn Levy directed this American sci-fi action comedy movie. The plot revolves around a time-traveling fighter pilot named Adam Reed who crash lands in the year 2022 from the future and comes across his twelve years old self.
The two selves of Adam team up to save the future. Ryan Reynolds portrayed Adam from the year 2050 in the movie. The Adam Project was released on March 9, 2022, on Netflix.
Brian and Charles-
The plot of this comedy movie revolves around a lonely inventor Brian living in a rural area of Wales. Brian builds unconventional unusual contraptions which hardly work. But his lack of success cannot make him disappointed and he tries to make his biggest project till now using a washing machine and a number of spare parts.
He uses them to invent an artificial intelligence robot whom he called Charles. David Earl and Chris Hayward portrayed Brian and Charles respectively in the movie.
Brian and Charles premiered at Sundance International Film Festival on January 23, 2022.
Crimes of the Future-
David Cronenberg directed this sci-fi body horror movie. The plot revolves around performance artist Saul Tenser in the far future when biotechnology has advanced hugely.
He entertains his audience by growing organs and removing them. But when a journalist enters his and his partner’s life, things get complicated. Viggo Mortensen portrayed Saul Tenser in the movie. Crimes of the Future premiered at Cannes International Film Festival on May 23, 2022.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness-
This is a superhero movie that is the sequel to the 2016 film ‘Doctor Strange‘ and the twenty-eighth film of the MCU. The plot revolves around Doctor Strange as he comes across a mystery girl having the ability to travel across a multiverse in his dream.
In order to battle multiple threats, Doctor Strange uses his other universe versions that threaten to wipe out many people across all the universes. Benedict Cumberbatch reprised the role of Dr. Stephen Strange in the film along with Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Wong reprising Wanda Maximoff and Wong respectively.
The movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released on May 6, 2022, in the United States.
Dual-
Riley Stearns created this satirical sci-fi thriller series. The plot revolves around Sarah suffering from a terminal disease she decides to use a cloning procedure so that her family and friends can cope with the loss. But things take an unexpected turn when she miraculously recovers as her clone does not seem to get decommissioned.
Karen Gillan portrayed Sarah and her clone in the film Dual which premiered on January 22, 2022, at Sundance International Film Festival.
Everything Everywhere All at Once-
This is an absurdist sci-fi series the plot of which centers around a Chinese immigrant who against her wish gets involved in an epic journey in which she is bound to connect to her other versions belonging to parallel universes in order to defeat a person who is threatening the security of the multiverse.
Michelle Yeoh portrayed the Chinese immigrant Evelyn Quan Wang in the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once which was released on March 25, 2022, in the United States.
Nope-
This is a neo-Western sci-fi horror movie the plot of which revolves around a man and his sister who find a mysterious and sinister phenomenon in the skies above their horse ranch in California.
But things get complicated when a theme park owner begins trying to make a profit using that phenomenon. The movie Nope was released on July 22, 2022, in the United States.
Prey-
This is a sci-fi action movie that is the fifth installment of the Predator franchise and serves as a prequel to the four films preceding it.
The plot is set in 1719’s Northern Great Plains and revolves around a skilled Comanche warrior named Naru who must protect her people from humans hunting highly evolved aliens for which she has to fight wilderness and evil colonizers along with the mysterious creature.
Amber Midthunder portrayed Naru in the film Prey which premiered at San Diego Comic-con on July 21, 2022.
Something in the Dirt-
This is a sci-fi movie the plot of which revolves around John and Levi and their humdrum days which alter drastically when they come across supernatural and shocking events in their apartment in Los Angeles.
They decide to obtain fame by documenting these paranormal incidents. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead portrayed Levi and John respectively in the movie Something in the Dirt which premiered at Sundance International Film Festival on January 23, 2022.
Avatar: The Way of Water-
