Microsoft has leaped the Surface Laptop Go 2. Every aspect of this device, camera, performance, and battery has improved from the previous generation Microsoft Surface Laptop Go.
What is majorly improved in Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2?
Design: Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 has a very minimalistic design. It has almost flat sides. There are four colors on offer, Sandstone, Blue, Silver, and the new Saige color. The lid has flat sides too, which makes the design look more minimalistic.
Keyboard Layout: The Keyboard of the Laptop Go 2 is very compact and easy to use. The keyboard doesn’t support the backlight. The fingerprint sensor is integrated with the power button on the keyboard. Although, this feature is available only on higher spec Surfaces Laptop Go 2.

Trackpad: Laptop Go 2 has a small trackpad, unlike other flagship laptops. But is easier to use. It is sufficient for this size of a laptop.
Display: The display of the Surface Laptop Go 2 is 12.4 inches, HD display with 1536 X 1024 resolution. It is not a high refresh rate display, with up to 60Hz. It is an 8-bit display. While watching multimedia, the pixels are barely visible, because of the small screen size. Even the quality is crisp and the content looks good.
Software:
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 comes with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics. Microsoft has not used the Intel Core i5 12th, Gen, due to heating and over battery usage. The laptop is snappy and well optimized with a processor.
Microsoft has released three variants of Surface Laptop Go 2.
– Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
– Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
– Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
The base model has been improved with 64GB more SSD storage. It is much faster than 64GB eMMC storage. Each of the models has a different price range.
Camera: Camera specifications are improved. Microsoft has improved the software for better image processing. A camera detects the lighting and adapts accordingly. Also, the dynamic range is normal.
Is Laptop Go 2 worth it?
The base model of the Laptop Go 2 starts from $599 which is $50 more than the previous Surface Laptop Go. But it is improved this time with more storage processors and storage types. For an extra $50, Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 is a much better deal with the experience.
