Endeavour Season 8 Update: Russell Lewis created the British detective series ‘Endeavour’ which is based on the characters created by Colin Dexter and serves as the prequel to the popular series ‘Inspector Morse’. The plot of the series is set in Oxford of England in the 1960s and 1970s.

The central character of the story is Endeavour Morse who has begun his career as a detective constable. Morse did not complete the third year at Lonsdale College but joined the post of detective constable Marshall-Newtown Police after doing job of a cipher clerk.

Shaun Evans plays the role of Endeavour Morse in the series. The cast members of the series include Roger Allam, Anton Lesser, James Bradshaw, Sean Rigby, Jack Laskey, Jack Bannon, Sara Vickers, Abigail Thaw, Dakota Blue Richards, etc. The series Endeavour Season 8 premiered on January 2, 2012, on ITV, STV, and UTV. Season 8 of the series is set to release on June 19, 2022.

The plot of the series revolves around the famous fictional detective Hercule Poirot who is now wiser and older. The incidents are set in England in the 1930s.

Paul Andrew Williams created this drama that revolves around Steve Fulcher who is the Detective Superintendent and a most intriguing case that he decides to solve.

A woman who has been missing for a while gets killed and Fulcher makes it his one and only goal to find the killer. He does not even want to stop not even at the cost of his reputation and career.

‘The Hobbit’ famed Martin Freeman plays the role of Stephen Fulcher in the series. Other cast members of the series include Siobhan Finneran, Imelda Staunton, Peter Wight, Derek Riddell, Jake Davies, Jessica D’Arcy, etc. The series was released on September 2, 2019, in the United Kingdom.

Grantchester-

Daisy Coulam developed this British detective series that is set in the same-named Cambridgeshire village in the 1950s. The plot of the series revolves around Sidney Chambers who is a Reverend.

With Geordie Keating, the Inspector goes on to investigate the crimes happening in Grantchester in order to solve them to make the village free of crime.

James Norton and Robson Green play the roles of Sidney Chambers and Geordie Keating respectively in the series. Other cast members of the series include Morven Christie, Tessa Peake-Jones, Al Weaver, Tom Brittney, Kacey Ainsworth, Oliver Dimsdale, Charlotte Ritchie, etc. The series was released on October 6, 2014, on ITV.

Line of Duty-

Jed Mercurio created this British police procedural series that revolves around a man named Steve Arnott. He is a DS and refuses to participate in a cover-up.

The cover-up includes the killing of an innocent man through a police encounter. After that, he is transferred to another unit which is referred to as an anti – corrupted one.

Martin Compston plays the role of Steve Arnott in the series. Other cast members of the series include Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar, Lennie James, Keeley Hawes, Craig Parkinson, Daniel Mays, Thandiwe Newton, Stephen Graham, Anna Maxwell Martin, Kelly Macdonald, etc. The series premiered on June 26, 2012, and ran on BBC Two till 2026 and on BBC One since then.
