Outlander Season 8: Update On Release Date & What We Know So Far

Outlander Season 8 is a story of a historical fantasy novel by American author Diana Gabaldon. Gabaldon started to write the volume in 1981 but the novel is published in 1992. She has successfully launched 9 Volumes out of 10 to date.

Outlander series star has revealed about Mail Davis has opened up about the future of outlander series and she has also said that she is waiting for the green light to season 8. People are always so much curious to know about the further things in historical drama series.

But  Maril Davis has said that she has not got the release date of season 7 yet she knows only that she is shooting for season 7. According to the producers from seasons 1 to 5, the number of episodes will be 12 per series. But because of coronavirus, the release dates get delayed and the number of episodes for each series has been reduced to number 9.

But Now the expectation of the audience is much more than previous seasons for season 7 as season 6 has the maximum number of episodes with 16 episodes.

While chatting with digital spy, the executive producer said:- “I haven’t heard anything regarding season eight. I would love to do it, but those decisions we are waiting to hear about. “I would love to finish the books if possible, but we will see what happens”, she added. So we can expect the new episodes to address the aftermath of the dramatic season six finale and reveal who is behind Mulva’s Murder.

Outlander is streaming on all Starz platforms. In this series, Claire Beauchamp Randall, a nurse in World War 2, mysteriously goes back in time to Scotland in 1743.

There she encounters, falls in love with, and marries a dashing Highland warrior named Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a Tacksman of Gobaldon’s fictionalized version of Clan Fraser of Lovat, and becomes embroiled in the Jacobite rising.
