Marcela and Elisa met in a Catholic school and quickly became friends. Eventually, their friendship turns into a romantic connection and they become aware of the unfriendly society around them which will never let them unite.

At least they fabricated a plan with Elisa disguising herself as a man and getting married. The movie was released on February 13, 2019, in Berlin, and on May 24, 2019, in Spain. Natalie de Molina and Greta Fernandez play as Elisa and Marcela respectively.

This is another celebration of romance and love worthy of watching on Valentine’s day. This film like ‘Elisa & Marcela’ portrays how people fall in love challenging the norms and fetters of society. It is set in 1958 Virginia where a white man and a black woman fall in love.

Knowing that interracial marriage is prohibited in Virginia, the two get married in Washington, D.C. But when they settle in Virginia, trouble comes hurling after them chasing them to jail. How this incident eventually leads to the invalidation of laws prohibiting interracial marriage in Virginia?
