Charli XCX Become Victim of Social Media Criticism

Recently Charli XCX becomes a victim of cyber criticism. And the criticism becomes so out of control that she is now taking a step back from her social media site, mainly Twitter. As the English singer and songwriter vocalized on 10th Feb about her struggles and that now she wants to take care of her mental health. Because the constant criticism is affecting her mentally. But that doesn’t mean she is totally turning off her Twitter account.

In this meantime she will be “drafting tweets from afar” and also in this, she said when she feels like saying something she’ll have someone else to post them.

Social Media is a term and platform everybody is known of. While social made it really easy and uncomplicated to communicate with people it surely has its own downfall. About celebrities, fans are always curious about their idols.

And through social media idols can always communicate with their fans. But also as a downfall, the haters can always throw some hateful comment through social media at the idol. And sometimes it really affects them.

The British singer-songwriter being forward to her the criticism about her upcoming album “Crash”, stated –  “I’m really out here trying my best and working my ass off.”

Charli XCX is going to release her fifth studio album “Crash” this march on 18th . Disclosed from a post she posted on twitter this Thursday on 10th February. The also declared that she would take a temporary break, because of the “negativity” her present album promotion is facing.

“I’ve been grappling quite a lot with my mental health the past few months and obviously it makes negativity and criticism harder to handle when I come across it.”

She ended the post by sending her fans “Eternal love”. And logged out from Twitter.

As The Fader reported, this criticism started after the announcement of Charli performing at Las Vegas Afterparty-  a March Music and art festival. In which all viewers have to own one of 1,500 “Utopian” NFTs.

Charli XCX will kick off in a North American tour before having a chain of gigs around Europe. Also “Beg For You” Charli’s new collaboration with Rina Sawayama is now on YouTube.
