1. Dash & Lily-

Starting with a Christmas romance! Dash and Lily are extremely opposite of each other with Dash being the cynical one and Lily being the optimistic one. But when they gradually fall in love they not only trade messages but also dare through a notebook.

Based on the young adult series book ‘Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares’ by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn, this American romantic comedy is created by Joe Tracz. It first premiered on Netflix on November 10, 2020. We get to see Austin Abrams in the role of Dash and Midori Francis in the role of Lily.

2. Jane the Virgin-

The driving incident of the plot is hilarious enough. Life of Jane Villanueva’s life takes a surprising turn when she is accidentally artificially inseminated. But when she discovers that the donor is his former crush and present boss, the comedy and the romance both intensify.

Romance in this series wanders between Jane and her present boyfriend and Jane and the biological father of the accidental baby. The original network of this rom-com is The CW, but it can be streamed on Netflix. Gina Rodriguez plays the role of the titular Jane.

3. Sex Education-

With Otis Milburn and Maeve Wiley’s “will-they-won’t-they” drama at the center of this high school rom-com, this series has become a global hit. Besides the romance, the show also deals with psychological complexities, social issues like the struggle of LGBTQ people, and some very maturely built characters and storylines.

Though Maeve is almost everyone’s favorite character, the third season that was released in 2021 added more dimensions to every main character. This Netflix original premiered on January 11, 2019. 4. Never Have I Ever-

Another high school rom-com! Devi Vishwakumar is an American-Indian who is struggling with her father’s death and also the fact that she never had a boyfriend. But what happens when suddenly Devi becomes entangled in a triangle love between the brainy Ben and the hot Paxton?

Starring in the role of Devi is Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and in the roles of Ben and Paxton are respectively Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet. ‘Never Have I Ever is a Netflix original that premiered on April 27, 2020.

5. Emily in Paris-

Set in the heartland of love and beauty Paris, this rom-com is all about French vibes and of course romance. As marketing executive of Chicago, Emily Cooper has to go to Paris, she falls on the land of handsome men, love, lust, fashion, and French culture. Also, she meets Gabriel.

The titular Emily is played by Lily Collins. This show premiered on Netflix on October 2, 2020.

6. Lovesick-

The plot of this drama series is the memory lane of Dylan who has got a sexually transmitted disease at the age of 20. When he finds this out, he contacts everyone from the long list of women that he dated. And the viewers get to watch flashbacks of Dylan’s relationship with every one of them.

The first season of ‘Lovesick’ was released on Channel 4, but the second and the third were released on Netflix. Johnny Flynn plays the role of Dylan.

7. New Girl-

After finding out her boyfriend cheating on her, Jess breaks up with him and moves into a new apartment with three men. ‘New Girl’ is basically a sitcom that has romance at its core.

Zooey Deschanel plays the role of Jess, the idiosyncratic teacher. Though the original network of this drama series is Fox, viewers can stream it on Netflix.

8. Love is Blind-

This reality tv show wants to test the popular saying “Love is Blind”. Is love really blind? Or rather what they are asking is can love to happen under a blindfold? A number of singles are thrown out in a room as they mingle with their potential lovers but in one condition. They cannot see each other.

9. Ginny & Georgia-

This amazing mother-daughter duo is quite different than other mothers and daughters as Ginny’s mother Georgia is a cool mom and basically her friend. As both of them struggle with their separate issues of life, they help each other in coping with them and Jinny deals with her awakening love life.

Antonia Gentry in the role of Ginny and Brianne Howey in the role of Georgia has done a great job. This is a quite recent Netflix original that was released on February 24, 2021.

10. Too Hot to Handle-

Another reality show involving romance and passion. But no sex. Yes, as singles meet in paradise, they must not have sex in order to win the competition and prize money of 100,000 dollars even if it turns “too hot to handle”.

This show is hosted by “Lana”, a virtual assistant and ten performers participate in it. It premiered on Netflix on April 17, 2020.
