Men’s Fashion Week 2022 Updates: As the fashion month gears up and with that the Omicron variant is amplifying its effectivity, Men’s Fashion Week in Paris is facing unevenness. The menswear A/W 2022-2023 edition of Paris Fashion Week has begun on January 11. 29 physical presentations, 17 physical shows, 30 digital-only events are going to compose the fashion week according to the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.

Millan Fashion Week

In Milan Fashion Week, a Prada catwalk of a number of Hollywood stars geared elevated the event. From an illuminated tunnel, a host of actors came forth including previously unofficial Prada mascot and ‘Jurassic Park’ famed Jeff Goldblum, Kyle MacLachlan from ‘Twin Peaks’, ‘Moonlight’s Ashton Sanders, Otis Butterfield of ‘Sex Education. As Europe becomes more and more affected by the increasing number of Omicron cases, many brands had to cancel physical presentations.
WWDAmong them names should be mentioned of Gucci, Giorgio Amrani, MSGM, Emporio Armani, JW Anderson etc who were supposed to produce their first menswear show in the event. Still, brands like Prada, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana made some stupendous catwalk shows. DSquared2 celebrated its return after its in-person break due to Covid-19. Co-directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented Prada’s first menswear show. But MSGM and Ermenegildo Zegna preferred a digital show along with JW Anderson. This British Brand had rescheduled its first physical fashion show in June 2022.
Paris Fashion Week

A host of behemoth and budding brands are presenting their fashion shows in Paris crossing the English Channel. But brands like Rick Owens, Issey Miyake, Loewe are skipping this year due to the virus effectivity. As a special addition, the final collection of late Virgil Abloh who passed away in November of 2021 is going to be presented by Louis Vuitton through a moving tribute.
Bianca Saunders, the winner of the ANDAM fashion prize from last year is debuting her Paris runway solo show on January 19, 2022. In an interview with WWD, a forerunning fashion digital daily, Saunders told that her vision has always been to be a household name, and debuting in Paris is a step necessary to fulfill this dream.

The Autumn 2022 collection of Bianca Saunders will present her experiment with cuts and movements of the cloths as they will communicate with the body in different ways. Besides her signature rolled-shoulder design, the collection will showcase some leather and denim pieces also.

The inspiration for the brand Namesake is Basketball. They shows their first collection in January of 2020 shortly before pandemic shut the world down. After that in Fall 2022, the brand is going to capture a seminal moment of basketball championship through showcasing their fashion and collection.
