The first Season was taken from the first three books which comprises 11-books and series. There are eight more books for writers to work on. So, there is more probability that the next season will come for sure.

Anderson says in one of his interviews I, am totally not confined that the show is all of my new creation. But, my main goal here is not to tell you what was given in the books and what I have created. I am here not to do mathematics. But, the second Season is written in the balanced way of both the old and new Seasons. The Second Season is mainly taken from the first three books because after that, there is a jump of the time.
