Batwoman Season 3 Part 2 Updates: Due to the obvious Poison Ivy infestation, one of our favourite ‘Batwoman’ characters has taken a terrible turn.
It’s been a tumultuous voyage for Batwoman. In Season Three, the Bat Team — Ryan (Javicia Leslie), Luke (Camrus Johnson), Sophie (Meagan Tandy), and Mary (Nicole Kang) — have been teaming up Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and
Renee Montoya (Victoria Cartagena) to protect Gotham from the trophies of past Batman villains that escaped the Bat Cave at the end of The season two.
Between those prizes was Pamela Isley, also known as the famed Poison Ivy, who Renee describes as “one of the most deadly adversaries that has ever ruled in Gotham.”
Following a confrontation with Ryan and Luke, Mary was taken away by one of Poison Ivy’s vines in the city park at the conclusion of Season 3, Episode 3. Mary discovered a thorn in her arm after waking up alone on a seat in an empty portion of the park at the start of Episode 4.
With no recollection of what happened to her and unaware that Poison Ivy was on the loose, Mary sought to confide in Ryan and Luke, but neither was available – Luke was upset with Mary for informing Ryan about having PTSD, while Ryan was preoccupied with what was going on with her biological mother.
Mary started acting oddly after getting pricked by one of Ivy’s thorns. She began planting plants in her clinic until the entire place was covered with greenery. Her insatiable desire quickly became an issue. And a poison ivy rash appeared on her forearm. Mary’s very kind empathetic demeanor began to slip gradually.

Sci-Fi BulletinThis was especially obvious with her sister, Alice, whom she had always despised despite her oath as a doctor. Her comments were increasingly snippy and brief. Worse, nobody in her life recognized – but Alice.
As of Episode six, Mary’s virus has progressed to a full-fledged state. With a little support from Alice, an another, green-eyed aspect of Mary has officially taken control, and the darker side of Mary is coming to the level.
She’s torturing individuals, such as the man she encased in honey and vines with voracious bees from inside him, and physically putting the goon from the Black Glove Society (who wounded Sophie’s sister) in the ground like a carrot.
Mary has been formally pushed to the limits. And, with her newfound authority over Mother Earth, the Bat Team is now charged with halting their dear buddy while avoiding losing her.
To be honest, Mary’s transformation into “Poison Mary” is one of the coolest things Batwoman ever have achieved. Over the course of the series, Mary has been the target of a slew of villains, with her life almost constantly in jeopardy. Through the agony she has endured, she has remained a kind, loving, and all-around nice person.
She even cares deeply to Alice, the sister who murdered her mother in cold blood right in front of her eyes, and research . with regards about Alice’s abduction and how/why Alice has become the person she is now.
