Julianna Margulies Updates: The 55-year-old actress appeared on Monday’s episode of CBS Morning and responded to questions about her decision to accept Laura’s Morning Show role as a gay reporter when she was not gay.

Although Margulies says he can understand the criticism, he notes that they all “make assumptions about who I am, what my past is, and what our pasts are.”

It’s not a bar to me regardless of their gender, it’s like watching a gay man play the same way. Person [will not],” she said. “Are you telling me I can never pretend to be a childless woman because I am a mother?

“Here You have to be very careful and be confident where you draw an amazing line. Then We are the great actors. Regardless of their gender, we have to create a character,” Margulies continued. “When it comes to race and gender, it’s a completely different story. I agree with it 100 percent. That’s my position.”

“It may be my age now, maybe, but you’ve got a place in your life, I think the same thing happened to Laura, wherever you go, ‘This is me. Take it or leave it. I’m not. I’m interested in pretending, there are no skeletons in my room, I’m not hiding, I’m telling the truth, if you do not like it, you are not in my orbit, “she explained.

The audience also joins in on the role, with Margulies crediting the show’s characters. “I didn’t enter much into my friend’s history, but I have a girlfriend, and at the age of 40 she began to feel that she was very interested in sex and was not affected by other people’s opinions about her,” Witherspoon told ET.
