What Happened To Black Widow Body After Her Death?

Black Widow

Black Widow Updates: In Black Widow’s post-credits scene, Yelena visits Natasha Romanoff’s grave and begs about what happened to her body after her death. This has brought many fans to ponder about what really happened to Black Widow’s body after her death in the movie.

After she died in Avengers: Endgame, Clint returns back to his time without her body. She died on Vormir on a different timeline but in the post-credits of Black Widow, it is shown that her grave is in the Midwest. These details bring up the question of what really happened with her body after her death.

Black Widow is set in a time between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, explaining what Natasha Romanoff was up to when she was on the run helping Steve Rogers.

Black Widow: Where is Her Body?

Reuniting with her family in Russia makes up her mind to go back to the United States and break the Avengers out of jail and get the group together again. She later sacrifices herself to get the Soul Stone in Endgame. As Black Widow saw her spending time with sister Yelena, the movie had to show her reaction to Natasha’s death. The audience was surprised to see her visit Natasha‘s grave which didn’t actually exist.

After Clint returned to the rest of Avengers, it was shown that he left Natasha’s body where she sacrificed her life on Vormir. But by showing a  physical grave, it makes no sense now. Natasha’s death in Endgame has been pretty controversial by a lot of people, as she was never shown to receive a funeral like Tony Stark despite the sacrifices that she made.

Criticism popped up that her death was used as a segue to propel the male Avengers’ action. ut Black Widow’s post-credits scene shows that isn’t necessarily the case. If her body is in the grave, someone (likely Steve) made a treacherous journey to retrieve it. Let us know what you think of this controversy and if you go with the story that they are making up.
