Call the Midwife Season 10 Episode 4 Updates: “Call the midwife” is a period drama series premiering on BBC channel since 2012. The series is set in 1957 London, and is shot in London as well.
The series was created on the basis of the memoir of Jennifer Worth but gradually, as the show got more fame and popularity, they moved on to other historically sourced materials to keep the show going.
The show focuses on depicting the daily domestic lives of the midwives in the local neighbourhood of Poplar, with contributing factors from the golden era it is set in. With its first series, it had become the most successful new drama on BBC since 2001.

All the successive seasons of the show managed to tackle and depict the fight against one of the other social norms like season one tackled with “Baby Boom” issues of poverty and postwar immigration, season 2 introduces new pain reliefs, season three manifest fighting off diseases like cystic fibrosis in the backdrop of prison, season 4 shows “The Child Immigration Program” as well as “Nuclear Warfare”, season 5 mange’s to bring out the side effects of birth control pills, season 6 went for domestic violence and interracial marriages, season 7 goes for dementia, racial abuse and meningitis with its first character of colour, season 8 covers topic of abortion. Moving on to the current season, season 10, the show covers the World Cup fever that England was under in 1966.
In episode 4 of the 10th season, Fred questions his choices and decisions as his bet is about to go wrong in the World Cup finale. Nonnatus House awaits the arrival of four new pupil midwives. One of them, Nancy Corrigan, makes quite an impact.
With the coverage of such diverse social disparities, the show does leave an impact on the audience and shows the people how to take the moral high ground in all circumstances.
