Black Widow Star O-T Fagbenle Praises Co-Star Florence Pugh

Black Widow Updates: Black Widow star O-T Fagbenle recently appeared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight where he talked about Cate Shortland’s MCU picture.

In view of the coronavirus pandemic, the films production and release has been delayed time and again with a lot of its story being kept under wraps. However, Fagbenle talked about his co star Florence Pugh’s spectacular performance in the movie.

Even though the actor could not say much, we know that a big theme of the movie in general is found family. The film, starring Scarlet Johansson as Natasha Romanov, dives deep into this idea, reuniting with Yelena Belova (Pugh) and Red Guardian (David Harbour). Marvel is planning to keep all other details about the plot under wraps until the July of this year.

The actor complimented director Shortland saying that he really explored the concept of a family within the context of a Marvel franchise. He also praised Pugh saying he is excited to see her performance.

On the other hand, the actress sounded quite ominous while describing the plot line. In the Marvel Studios’ Black Widow: The Official Movie Special Book, Pugh described the storyline as “very horrifying.”

She said the movie is about mentally and physically abused women being trained to become killing machines, thanks to their rage.

She believes that, as Scarlett has said previously, that there couldn’t be a better time to tell this story to the audience as it showcases women getting their life back. Pugh said she felt honored being a part of something which is quite rare for a Marvel production.

Shining some light on the film and her relationship with Natasha, Pugh described her character, Yelena, as an “annoying little sister.” She said that the two have a very unique and adorable friendship which is also the core of the film. Being long lost sisters, they also help repair each other’s broken parts.
