Umbrella Academy Season 3: Everything That Fans Should Know

Umbrella Academy Season 3 Update: The Sparrow Academy is to be one of the 43 children born on 1 October 1989 at the Umbrella Academy season 3. The first season showed that 43 women around the world were suddenly pregnant on the very same day, giving birth to babies just seconds apart.

Seven of these babies were rescued by Reginald Hargreeves, who played with their special abilities and handled them as vigilantes, creating the Umbrella Academy. With the launch of the Sparrow Academy at the end of season 2 of The Umbrella Academy, the first plot introduced in season 1 may finally be a full circle.

The series plot has long involved the use of time travel, perhaps best seen when the seven adopted children of Reginald Hargreeves find themselves dispersed across the 1960s in season 2.

They’ve spent a lot of time trying to get back to the day, but they’ve already changed so many major points in time for that to happen. The season 2 final finished with the Hargreeves coming face-to-face with the now-living Reginald and Ben—who died as a boy and whose ghost could only be seen by his brother, Klaus—and six outsiders known as the Sparrow Academy.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3

This alternate future sets the tone for the Umbrella Academy season 3 which may carry back the unsolved story for the remaining 36 children born on the same day as the Hargreeves. Reginald had already adopted seven of the 43 children born in 1989, which is why he would select another seven in this current timeline.

The fact that Ben Hargreeves is with the Sparrows speaks volumes and shows that, while the participants and the name of the Academy are new today, Reginald’s goal of adopting seven super-powered children has not shifted from one timeline to another.

The appearance of the Sparrow Academy could answer the main question of the season. After all, the explanation for Reginald’s quest for these children, to begin with, is never confirmed in the series.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 should discuss his acts, and the Sparrows being revealed as one of the 43 will make the most sense of the plot. The series would invalidate and ignore a large portion of its own storyline if the Sparrows turned out to be irrelevant to the original premise and the mystery around the 43 were to remain at the center of the story.

In the comics, the Sparrows are simply meant to be seven of the 43 children born under very enigmatic circumstances. There are also signs that Mom is behind their development. It’s worth noting that the Grace series—the human version of the robotic Mom Reginald—leave the monocle-wearing man at the end of season 2. Who’s to say that she didn’t make any tests of her own to somehow build the 43 kids? With so many super-powered children to choose from, the Sparrows, being part of the 43, will greatly build on the plot, and at last tie it all together. For more updates stay tuned.
