Critical Role Updates: The Critical Role self-describes itself on Twitch and YouTube as a “bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors who sit around playing Dungeons and Dragons”.

The group is working hard to bring the story of their first campaign to life. They have an upcoming animated series ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’.

Which is funded by the most successful Kickstarter campaign of all time. It was then picked up by Amazon Prime for distribution.

When Can we see it?

The reports suggest that we will be able to see all the episodes sometime later this year. Sam Riegel is here in himself explained in a video the reason behind animation taking so long to release.

He said that animation is a long process and the coronavirus pandemic has lead to everything being delayed and suspended. Thus the fans of the Critical Role, which is a regular streaming show have also had to contend with this year.

He also explained in this video that what happens in each stage of this process and why it is so important to give the things the time they need to develop.

He first introduced us to the Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina writers room and revealed some insider reports. He also revealed that they normally see their original streamed D&D campaign as a sort of “rough draft.”

The Critical Role’s normal Thursday broadcast will release later this week for Thanksgiving and it also includes The Legend of Vox Machina, an original graphic novel that features all of their Series 1 and 2 from Dark Horse comics. It also has limited edition holiday ornaments and wrapping paper available in store.
