Mom Season 9 Updates: As the Season 8 of Mom is already streaming on CBS and its Episode 1 has been already released. But as per TVLine the actress Anna Faris who play Christy’s character will not return in Season 9.

And the showruner have also decided to explain her absence in Season 9 in the Season 8 itself.

Will Anna Faris Leave the Show?

As per an interview given to TVLine by Anna Faris she will leave the show after Season 8, She said “The past seven years on Mom have been some of the most fulfilling and rewarding of my career,” Faris said in a statement. “I’m so thankful to Chuck [Lorre], the writers, and my amazing castmates for creating a truly wonderful work experience. While my journey as Christy has come to an end, allowing me to pursue new opportunities, I’ll be watching next season and rooting for my TV family.”

So its confirmed that Anna will leave the show after the Season 8.

Officially CBS, WBTV and Chuck Lorre have confirmed about the exit of Anna Faris with a joint statement: “From the inception of Mom, Anna was the first and only choice for the role of Christy. We are so proud of the stories we have been able to tell during Anna’s seven years with us. We wish Anna all the best, and we thank her for her beautiful portrayal.”
