Tokyo Vice is based on the crime fiction, drama genre series. The plot follows around the set in the late 1990s and an American journalist named Jake Adelstein to displace to Tokyo to report on corruption inside the vice squad.
The project of this series was already set up as a movie in 2013, with the star cast named Adelstein. The production also stars in mid-2014 was set. In 2019, the project was to remake as television series by the order of Warner Medio to stream on their streaming platform HBO max.
The series is set to Ansel Elgort as executive producer, Michael Mann will also call the executive producer of the series.
