The production of the movie started back in 2018, but the film faced a crisis when Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croal left the movie in 2019.
That was not it the lead actor of the show, Barry Keoghan also departed from the cast in February 2020. After a lot of struggle, the shooting was restarted in April 2020. However, the production was again put on a halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
After a lot of wrestlers, the shooting of the film is to resume from October 26, 2020 and is expected to continue till July 2021. Y: The Last Man will release on Hulu by the end of 2021.

The Plot of the film
The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a disastrous event took place, and all the male mammals were killed except a male human and his monkey.
The story will focus on new powerful women who will explore gender, race, class, and survival. The story is expected to show the strong side of the females of that place. They will be ruling the place in the absence of men.
