The ‘Inside Out 2’ trailer introduces a whole new group of emotions.

Pixar recently released the latest trailer for Inside Out 2, the hit film’s sequel about a little girl’s emotions as she opens up to real-life events.

If Riley thought coping with feelings like sadness and disgust was tough as a child, she has no clue what awaits her now that she is a teenager. Inside Out 2 follows an older Riley as she tries to meet new friends and explore new activities through one of the most sensitive times in a person’s life: puberty.

Even though Riley was used to dealing with her normal emotions following the events of Inside Out, the next chapter will show her how someone continues to change throughout.

The new Inside Out 2 trailer tells audiences that new emotions have entered Riley’s brain, with Anxiety, Envy, Ennui (boredom), and Embarrassment entering the team that shapes the teenager’s personality.

The trailer hints that the new emotions will give the highly anticipated sequel an intriguing new element. Riley’s emotions evolve, are jumbled, and buried as she goes through puberty and the hormonal issues of her teenage years.

This shall make for a fascinating journey for the transformed emotions as they imagine these problems through Riley’s brain.

The trailer’s first new emotion is Anxiety, which Stranger Things actor Maya Hawke dubs. Kelsey Mann, the film’s director, hinted about the small orange creature who comes to the headquarters with plenty of baggage.

After Anxiety, Envy is played by Golden Globe winner & Ireland’s best Ayo Edebiri, who has a short bob and turquoise fur.

Ennui, also known as boredom, is played by French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos. Last, we see Embarrassment, expressed by the creative comedian and Emmy-winning star Paul Walter Hauser, who looms over everybody in pink while hiding beneath a cozy zip-up hoodie.

Along with the new teen’s emotions portrayed by Hawke, Edebiri, Exarchopoulos, & Hauser, Inside Out 2 will bring back viewers with Riley’s core five nearly a decade later.

Amy Poehler reprises her role as Riley’s favorite and life-of-the-party Joy, while Phyllis Smith plays Sadness & Lewis Black as Anger. Tony Hale and Liza Lapira will play Fear and Disgust, characters initially portrayed by Bill Hader & Mindy Kaling, respectively.

Inside Out has two releases on June 14.
