The confusion primarily stems from the intertwined narratives of Zatima and its parent series, Sistas. Viewers have noted discrepancies in character developments, particularly concerning Fatima’s pregnancy storyline. For instance, while Zatima might depict Fatima preparing for a baby shower, Sistas portrays her as barely showing, leading to perplexity among fans.​

Zatima Season 4 Release Date

Adding to the uncertainty, BET+ has yet to announce an official release date for Zatima Season 4. However, a recent report indicated that Season 4 completed filming in mid-2024. Considering the release patterns of previous seasons—Season 1 premiered nine months after filming concluded, Season 2 after seven months, and Season 3 after ten months—a late 2025 release seems plausible.

In the meantime, BET has initiated a rebroadcast of Zatima Season 3 on its linear channel, starting February 26, 2025. This move is seen as a strategy to maintain viewer engagement and potentially build anticipation for the upcoming season. ​
