On Tuesday, Netflix released the first trailer for the new film “Look Both Ways,” which stars the “Riverdale” actress Lili Reinhart as a woman who must choose between two possible futures for herself.
“On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s [Reinhart] life splits into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and stays in her hometown, and another in which she does not and moves to Los Angeles,” according to the official synopsis. “In both journeys, Natalie falls in love for the first time, pursues her dream career as an artist, and rediscovers herself.”

Lili Reinhart’s shared the very first trailer of her upcoming movie looks both ways on her Instagram.
Playing Natalia in two parallel realities may sound difficult, but Reinhart claims it was not.
“Her life circumstances were changing, but she remained the same woman in both storylines,” she says. “I think the film is really beautiful because it shows how your life can go a million different directions,” she says.
“You must be open to new paths that emerge… there is no right or wrong way to get somewhere.” So have faith that the universe has your back.”
“My ‘Look Both Ways’ moment was when I was standing with a pregnancy test,” director Wanuri Kahiu says. At that moment, I realized I had made the decision to have a child and [knew] that my life would be divided and drastically different from what I had imagined for myself.”
When asked if her life would have been different if certain circumstances had been different, Reinhart says, “I like to think that I would have always ended up in the film industry.”
Danny Ramirez, David Corenswet, Aisha Dee, Andrea Savage, Luke Wilson, and Nia Long also appear in the film.
“Look Both Ways” will be released on August 17.
